KFC's Saturday match

This Saturday afternoon FTL Futbol Hellenic Premier Division side Kidlington are action against Hellenic Division One East outfit Thame United in the The Hellenic League Challenge Cup Sponsored by Bluefin Sports Insurance, at Yarnton Road, K.O. 3:00pm.

Last Saturday Kidlington progressed to the next round of the FA Vase by beating Wessex league side New Milton Town 2 - 1. After being 1 down at the interval Kidlington came out looking a far more determined team in the second half and turned the tied with goals from Adam Lovegrove and Jack Quainton. They  now go forward to face Bradford Town from the Toolstation Western League Division 1 in the FA Vase 1st round proper at Yarnton Road next Saturday afternoon. Club Chairman Lloyd Wray said that "we are hoping for another decent crowd for both these matches and you can feel a buzz in the village at the moment with the great start to the season the 1st team have been having".

For this weekends match Brad Chalmers remains sidelined with a foot injury, Kieran Sanders has to fulfil a county youth call up and Ross Gray and Jerry Kapral are on holiday, therefore all 4 will miss the match. Kidlington manager Gordon Geary said "with these lads missing it gives a chance for others to step up into the squad" he went on to say that "after watching our reserve side against Abingdon United on Tuesday evening I was very impressed with the level of skill, fitness and commitments showen and I wouldn't hesitate to call up any of the lads on that showing if needed".
