Animation Station

Try your hand at this amazing, Stop Frame animation workshop - as featured in Wallace and Grommit and Coraline. Taking place over two seperate days, you'll learn to make animation magic using plasicine models, painted backgrounds and a soundtrack. Not to be missed for all young budding animators!

Tues 6 April & Thurs 8 April. 10 – 4pm. £ 25 for two days. Ages 11-16.

Make a mini action movie in the company of filmmaking experts in this two day movie making workshop. Learn how to use a camera, sound and lighting with the professionals and be a star in your own Kidlington blockbuster with Kidlington Parish Council digital filmmaking kit.

Tues 13 – Wed 14 April. 10 – 4pm. £ 25 for two days. Ages 11-16.

Learn to make a game for your iPod touch, Nano, WWW site or mobile phone and impress your friends. Learn to use the latest ‘Scratch’ software with expert help from the legendary Evil Twins in this two day fun workshop.

Thursday 15 – Friday 16 April. 10 – 4 pm. Ages 11-16. £ 25 for two days.

Make your own crazy cartoons using traditional hand drawn Disney style animation – and bring them to life on the movie screen! Learn from the experts in animation and have fun along the way.

A must for budding animators and Manga fans.

Tuesday 27 – Wednesday 28 July 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages 9 -16. £25 for two days.

Ever wanted to try your hand at being the next budding graphic novelist and make stories to feature to feature in your own book – now’s your chance! Using Comic Life software you can even use your own photos to tell the story and go home with the book.

Tuesday 10 – Wednesday 11 August 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages 9 -16. £25 for two days.

A one day fun and creative way of learning to use digital cameras to take exciting digital pictures for young people with leading photo artist, Kat Belcher. Bring a camera or use one of ours!

Tuesday 17 August. 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages 9 -13. £15 for one day. 6 people max.

Learn how to turn your pictures into dream-like digital images using the latest Adobe Photoshop and iMac computers - and take home the prints!

Wed 18 August. 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages 9 -13. £15 for one day.

Come along and make music or use samples to create your own music track to become the next big star! Use the very latest music technology. Bring your own instruments and lots of imagination and mix it up with sound artist, Alex Hehir.

Thursday 19 August. 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages: 11 – 16. £ 15 for one day.

Create your own movie and sound tracks for the WWW or iPod - and send them to your phone, iPod Touch, You Tube or WWW site using Apple software.

Friday 20 August. 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages: 11 – 16. £15 for one day.

Create a Wallace and Grommit style stop frame animation - just like in the movies - and impress your friends. Learn how to use plasticine and wire to create your own animated characters and backgrounds in this one day workshop. No experience necessary.

Wed 25 August. 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages: 9 – 14. £15 for one day.

Learn to make ‘Monty Python’ style stop frame animation. Create your characters on paper or in photos and bring them to life on screen

Thursday 26 August. 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages: 9 – 13. £15 for one day. . Ages 9 -14

Try your hand at being a VJ (Video Disc Jockey) in this two day film and sound making workshop

Use the latest apple based VJ ing software to make movie and tracks for use in your own VJ performance. Learn to use Archaos and video to mix it all together in this fast and fun two day workshop.

Saturday 16 – & Saturday 23 October. 10 am - 4.00 pm. Ages: 11 – 16. £25 for two days.
